Terms of Service
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of urltotext.com, our web tools, and our API (together, the "Service"), provided by Bramlett Software LLC ("URLtoText", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to them on its behalf.
1. The Service
URLtoText converts web pages, YouTube videos, and PDFs into text, Markdown, or HTML. Some features, such as JavaScript rendering, proxies, and AI prompts, are available only with an account or a paid plan. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for your password, your API keys, and all activity on your account. Keep your API keys secret, and tell us right away if you think one has been compromised.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- If you create a team, the team owner is responsible for the team's billing and for the activity of its members.
3. Acceptable use
You are responsible for the URLs you submit and for how you use the content you extract. You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Access content you are not authorized to access, including content behind logins or paywalls you have no right to use.
- Collect personal information in violation of applicable privacy laws.
- Violate the terms of service of the websites you extract content from, where those terms apply to you.
- Overload, attack, or disrupt any website, including through excessive request volumes.
- Get around our rate limits, usage limits, or security measures, or share accounts or API keys to do so.
- Resell or provide the Service to others as a standalone product without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to reverse engineer it.
We may suspend or terminate access for any use we reasonably believe violates these Terms or puts the Service, our providers, or others at risk.
4. Plans, credits, and billing
- Subscriptions. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider and renew automatically until you cancel. Each billing period, your plan's amount is added to your account as usage credits.
- Credits. Requests use credits based on the features you choose, at the prices shown in the Service. Unused credits roll over while your account remains open. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and expire when your account is closed.
- Extra credits. Team owners can buy additional credits at any time.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your credits remain usable until your account is closed.
- Plan changes. If you upgrade or downgrade, the difference is prorated as described when you make the change.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review it.
- Price changes. We may change prices or per-request costs. We will give you notice before a price change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
5. Free tools
Free tools are provided as is, with usage limits that we may change at any time. We may limit or end free access to protect the Service.
6. Content and intellectual property
- Third-party content. Content you extract belongs to its owners. We do not claim ownership of it, and you are responsible for having the right to use it.
- Your content. You keep all rights to the URLs, prompts, and files you submit. You give us permission to process them only as needed to provide the Service.
- Our Service. The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms do not give you any rights to it beyond using the Service as described here.
- Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, such as the services that fetch web pages, process payments, and run AI prompts. Their availability and results are outside our full control. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, so review it before relying on it.
8. Availability
We work to keep the Service running reliably, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or able to extract content from every website. Some websites block automated access, change their layout, or load content in ways that cannot be extracted.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US ANYTHING.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any claims, damages, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, the content you extract, or your violation of these Terms or of anyone's rights.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service for reasons other than your violation of these Terms, we will give reasonable notice. Sections 3, 6, and 9 through 14 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
