Sitemap URL Extractor FAQ
Is this sitemap extractor free? +
Yes. Without an account you get the first 1,000 URLs of a sitemap; sign up free (no password, we email you a code) to get up to 50,000.
Do I need the sitemap address? +
No. Enter the website's address and we look for its sitemap: first in robots.txt, then at the usual places like /sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml and /wp-sitemap.xml. You can also paste a sitemap's address directly.
Does it follow sitemap index files? +
Yes. A sitemap index lists other sitemaps (posts, pages, products...), and we read each of them, including .xml.gz files.
What can I export? +
Copy the list, or download a .txt with one URL per line or a .csv with each URL and its last-modified date.
Why are some pages missing? +
A sitemap only lists what the site chose to put in it. To find every link on a page, use the Link Extractor.
What is a sitemap? +
An XML file where a website lists its pages for search engines, often with the date each was last changed.
